What is the name of your state? CA
Early April 2005 received summons from ASSet's lawyers (Bidna & Keys) stating they were taking me to court for credit card debt to Citibank. I answered the summons within the allotted time (basically denied everything) and sent the lawyers a debt validation letter and the answer. I have not heard from the lawyers about the DV letter or the answer. I currently have a case management conference in court scheduled for July 25th, 2005. Just curious at anything else I should be expecting. Does the law firm need to answer my answer saying I deny everything or do I just wait for the court date and see if they come with all the proof? And are they required to answer my DV letter or is that what they will prove in discovery?

Any help would be appreciated.

The aren't required to answer the validation letter, but they are going to have to prove their side in court regardless.

They may not file any response to your answer except a standard motion for summary judgment - which is them saying you have no case, they're right, the judge should find in their favor.
