I just want to know about the difference of something being logged in and recorded i want to do this correctly and i dont like the answers i am getting. Please answer me polietly and correctly if possibly. I want to know if i have to wait until the divorce has been logged in or can i get married right after the lawyer signes the decree.
My response:
Okay, I'll try this one, last, time.
When you get that signed and dated Decree of Dissolution in your hot, little, hands then it'll be safe to get married. Not one minute sooner.
The only way you'll get it into your hands is when the JUDGE has signed it (not just the attorney), and then the original gets filed with the court (I presume that's what you meant by "posted"). Then, when you get your copy, you'll notice that there's a court Filing Stamp at the top, which should say "Duplicate - Original Filed".
When you have that in your hands, you can get re-married.
However, there is a faster way of doing this. Get the original, and bust into the Judge's office, and demand that he sign the damn thing right now, or you'll open fire.
Other than that, you're just going to have to wait your turn like everyone else waiting for their orders to be signed.
