What is the name of your state? NY
If a person in another state owes a large CS arrearage, and the children were already adults when URESA became law in NY (the state which has jurisdiction) can they still be arrested for owing that support? Would his arrearage be a federal crime? What about if they moved to another state from the state he was living in to get married for a third time there?
FYI- There are no assets to seize, his 2nd wife was granted almost everything when they divorced, I'm told and he has no surving family. I was hoping he'd inherit from his dad, who saved every penny, but he was ill with Alzheimers for years and there was evidentally nothing left.
Am I wasting my time?
