What is the name of your state? New York
I was at my husband's Christmas party when he introduced me to a coworker. When this man shook my hand, he attempted to
pull my hand to touch his private area. When I pulled my hand back, he stepped towards me and pulled my hand again.
Without any thought, I took his four fingers, twisted them back and asked him what he was doing.
He instantly apologized and I immediately released his hand.
He is now claiming that he missed work on Monday because his fingers are sprained and he wants to press charges and sue me for the missed work. (He works commerical construction)
I should add two things:
1. This all happened in a matter of seconds. There was no "mental plan" on my part to hurt this man. I was just reacting to his incredibly rude action.
2. I am a 2nd degree brown belt. I have never used my training before.
My question. Does this man have a valid claim against me?
