Hello,

Can assets from a suspended corporation be collected in a judgment? If you want to buy assets from a suspended company, can someone come after the purchaser of these assets if there are outstanding judgments against the suspended corporation? How are assets such as copyrights handled. There is some old magazine film used to produce magazines from the 60's and 70's, that is available for purchase, but the company has been suspended in the state of California. Can someone/or some company come after the new owner of these assets after the purchase?

when a company files chapter 11 the assets are liquidated by the trustee, usually at an auction. You might want see who the trustee is and see how the assets will be liquidated if you are interested in purchasing.
