O My..after all this BS of this agent/claim handler telling Me to return the check..Guess what was in My mailbox today..The check issued 4-19 in the WRONG name post dated May 1st.. The check was in Her office, most likely right on Her desk the entire time She's telling Me to wait for it, then void it ,then return it..so She can stop pmt...isn't that cute????

In a large company, it's entirely possible that a check authorized on 4/19 wouldn't mail out for 10 or 11 days...I really think you need to focus on this as business. They are not out to get you.

That's a good point too, when I was an adjuster, I never physically saw the checks that were issued and they certainly never came to my desk and sat there.

The thing is ..the check was mailed directly from the branch office, that kept telling Me it was sent out on the 19th...I would think that after being informed 3 times right up to the 30th that it was not rec'd they would check to see if it in fact was mailed as stated, before telling Me it was ..but,there I go thinkin' again..it is what is .. I know they are not out to get Me, I think there are out to not pay Me..lol.Have A great weekend all~

After complaint to MD.Ins. Admin. this ins. Co. has now done an about face after "review" of My claim, and managed to stop pay. on the check dated 4-19 in the wrong name & for an amt. I didn't agree to settle for. A check will be issued in My correct name, for the actual demand amt. of My claim. :)

Don't waste your time and money filing suit against the driver. File the claim with your homeowner's insurance and they will do the leg work to subrogate against the MD driver and get the money back. You'll most likely have to pay your deductible up front, but once they subrogate, you'll get it back. Your company will work hard to get your/their money back from the other company, and you won't have to pay them for their efforts like you would have to do with a lawyer. You're already paying them through your homeowner's premiums.
