Auto Accident

This case has gotten so stupid it's for a skit on SNL. They got back to me again with a second offer after running new comps, these were even further north into what I call the rust belt and lower then the original. After looking thru them they were all rust buckets with the one having a rust hole big enough in the side to put ones head thru. Yes that bad!
So again I update my NADA and KBB and local comps and they didn't change in a week and sent them to her again. Sent by her to a different adjuster. They were to call back but never did so only a 2 hour wait this time on hold and went thru 3 different people. They wouldn't go to $5,000.00 even though all comps were above 6. I like an idiot settled on $4,985.00.
They were to send a packet to a local office by Monday, no call Tuesday or Wednesday so at seven the next morning I call and ask what the hold up is. They insist the packet arrived at the local office on Monday and I should have gotten a call. Talked to three different people and the last women gave me the address it was sent to, two problems with this is they have the wrong name on all the paper work, don't know who the is and it's 300 miles from my house when there are three offices with-in ten minutes of my home!!!!! The last jerk specifically said "that's the address you told us to send it to" never happened! I very nicely said well you have now forced me to go to an attorney since every person I have talked to so far other then the initial person has lied to me or said I was a liar and there is no doubt this was on purpose. I was screwed out of the rental and they have lied endless to me.
A few minutes later a supervisor calls apologizing endlessly and swearing this would be done by tomorrow that they already are sending a new check and package to the local office.
This is the year 2015 do they really still send packages out?
Why not just e-mail it to the local office and let them print things out?
The attorney I talked to a while back said I would have a good case but I can't just lie which I think he was hinting I do. Would I have a chance now at just asking the attorney to get me the $1,100.00 more between my comps and their offer and would they pay my attorney? I have signed nothing.
I am not a prude but can't believe these insurance companies act like little mom and pop operations using such childish tactics.
UPDATE They lied again!!!!!
I just had to call the agent to see if they really received the package 300 miles from my home. UNBELIEVABLE!
They told me they did get a package Monday morning, called the person who's name and number was on the package, it was the other party in the accident, the at fault person from out of state. They forwarded the package to his home office in the other state and he signed over his title and received the check. They told me he didn't even have collision so he screwed the insurance co. I am sure they will get their money back. But the also told me they were contacted by the Ins. Co. yesterday who already started an investigation so everyone who told me this was a mistake and would check into it knew already what happened. WOW and this is a 75 billion dollar company!?!?!?!?
Now to see if my local company gets anything tomorrow!

If you hire an attorney it is out of your pocket. Consider that in your calculations.
