NY
Hello there. I live in California and I want to go to NYC with my friends tomorrow. I booked a hotel on the internet about a week ago. It was a cheap hotel but seemed ok. The name is Carter Hotel and it is close to Time Square.
Today, I accidently found that webpage which had reviews from customers who have been in this hotel. I was shocked.
They write that they never cleaned the rooms, the bedsheets have stains all over, the shower is dirty, there are drug addicted people who just walk into your room ( u can obviously not look the door), some people even had rats in their room. It all sounds so horrible!!!!
I am really scared and I wonder if there is no law which sets a minimum standard for hotels or something like that?
I mean you can not rent out rooms for 140 Dollars and then provide this, right?

As I said I am really scared and I would like to know if anybody knows anything I can do.

As I am going tomorrow already I would appreciate fast help :o

THANKS A LOT!

Melli
