Bottom line is, based on what is in your post both here and elsewhere, your termination was legal and you do not have any legal recourse.

Also I've seen multiple employees there out sick on STD or out for a day or two because of illnesses like a cold and car troubles and still keep them hired. I feel like it's discrimination or retaliation. Please tell me if I'm wrong.

STD is a entirely different situation than not calling/showing up to work.
I understand that you're upset. But your employer shouldn't have to call your mom to find out where you are when you missed work. It was your responsibility to call in (or, if you were unable to do so, have your mom call in). Having a phone number to call was your responsibility. Chances are, you were let go because you were a no call/no show, not because you were sick.
