I work as a teller for a small bank in Arkansas and my drawer was recently short. My employer is demanding reimbursement. There is no mention of this in our handbook or any other policy that I have found. Can they do this?

Though I am only licensed in California, I would venture to say that what your employer is asking you to do, is not legal. In effect the employer has found you guilty and passed sentence upon you. You must reimburse them! OK?
