Just so I'm clear...Does the OhioLaw poster know what he/she is talking about?

The situation is this (fyi not me)

four dui's 1989 and 1991, 1995 and 2004. The 1989-91 ones were listed in the public records under the criminal section. But said possession of alcohol. (So maybe those weren't dui's after all) This was mixed in with traffic offences but these had CR in the case number, where all "normal" traffic offences had a TR in their case number.

1995 and 2004 are listed as DUI's. Stopped, arrested 3 day classes in 1995 2004 year license susp. and three days jail. No accidents on either.

Based on this, these would seem to be criminal charges right?

Sorry, I don't mean to sound "stupid" but the post that came from OhioLaw, got me a little confused.

Sorry to keep dragging it up, but thanks for the help.

I do not know the answer to your question.

We had asked OL to post his legal authority for making such a statement and he has not posted this.

But why do you want to know the answers to these questions?

They sound criminal to me; it doesn't matter what the case numbers say (that's just a filing convention).

Ok thanks.

I was asking for a girl at work, whose boyfriend wanted to know if all this would make him have a criminal record, when he applies for employment.

I have posted other questions on this site, so because I knew of the site, I told her I'd ask the questions.

Appreciated.
