What is the name of your state? VA

I am one of several victims of a major US pest control company. The home I sold to my best friend, after obtaining a $1500 termite protection contract and treatment system, now has active termites, and damage to the tune of $17,000. The company first said they would pay, and now are refusing, and have ceased all contact. Unlike many others experiencing problems with the same company, my contract did not include a clause which took away my right to litigate. My attorney has instructed me the only thing to do now is to sue. There are currently no class action suits in my state, although some have been won in others. After reading about thousands of similar complaints nationwide, I know that one little guy (girl, actually) going up against them will not make the slightest bit of change in their practices.
How do I go about contacting others who may not know to sue, or know how to, and obtain the best legal representation? I don't have a lot of money, neither does my friend, but undoubtedly, some thirsty litigator would invest a bit if he knew the stakes.
I am surprised this company has remained in business for as long as it has, and that none of this information was public before. I want a huge black mark over their names in nationwide papers so that people know who they are dealing with.
By the way, in what way would disclosure of their name subject me to defamation charges, as they have already filed against one litigant in another state?

I was mad enough at my credit card company a few years ago that I contacted a law firm in the bay area about a class-action lawsuit. [They were holding payments excessively to charge late fees and jack up APRs.] I wrote them a very thoughtful and informative email and I actually had an associate call me back after a few exchanges. Unfortunately NEXTCARD... Visa card of Satan... went out of business soon thereafter and several parties fought for the remains like a bunch of vultures. No suit.

But I digress... go to google and search for a law firm that does class action for the type of claim that you are going to pursue. Write to them and if they feel your story has some legal merit... they'll do all the down and dirty work.

If this isn't big enough for a big firm... you might want to contact your local bar association and get a referral. Good luck!
