I am in California and I believe my ex-wife got remarried and is trying to hide it from me. I'm not sure what state she got remarried in. I think her marriage is a marriage of convenience; she is getting spousal support from me and health insurance from the other man and what ever else. So what can I do about this, I know I need proof that she is and I know she would purger herself to keep getting the money from me and I don't have the money to hire a PI to get more information. Can anyone help me with this?

Okay, lets see if I have this right... you THINK your ex has remarried, have no idea where, have no money, and ask if someone can help, right??
Other than taking up a collection, nope.

There are several web sites that you can check marriage records. You have to go by state so I don't know where you would begin but I hope that helps. Good Luck.

Since that is NOT true, how about your providing the link for a few states (not county's)that do have online access to CURRENT marriage records.

Yep, just as I figured.
You went out and found the first one you could.... without reading that the information on that site is restricted to 'KENTUCKY MARRIAGE INDEX FOR 1973-1993'.

And you also missed the following caveats as to the data:
"This file contains an index to marriages which have been registered in Kentucky from 1 January 1973 to 31 December 1993 with the exception of 1984 and 1985."
and
"The vital records index data was obtained from the Kentucky Office of Vital Statistics in 1994 for a research project. We do not have the resources or funding to update the records."
and
"There are numerous misspellings of names in the data and many long given names have been abbreviated or truncated. Some records are missing and some are duplicated. We cannot make changes to the data."

To my knowledge, there are NO state marriage sites online that show CURRENT marriages... and available to the public.

I final got a copy of her marriage license :) and now it is time to take her to court and see how much of my money I can get back. Does anyone know if I will be eligible to get lawyers fees from her or not?
