What is the name of your state? California
We are a couple of early twenty-something, I work full time in mid-management postion and my girlfriend worked for the company during summer break from college. Her parents don't approve of us, I'm the wrong ethnic origin, wrong religion, we decided for now, not to parade our relationship in front of them.
A woman, who was my girlfriend's supervisor during her summer job, deliberately seeked out her parents and told them that we are involved which is the truth, but also made up a story that we had a pregnancy scare and other things. Not only did this upset my girlfriend and her parents, but I have to continue working in the same office with this woman and she does have supervisory position over me. Short of quitting, what steps can I take to make my work situation bearable, what are my rights, how do I protect us from further harassement, how do I stop this woman?What is the name of your state?

There are a lot of things you can do.

You can hold your breath and stomp your feet until the woman leaves you and the girl alone and stops telling on you, or;

You can quit, or;

you can stop seeing the girl, or;

you can grow a pair and forget about it.

Other than that, nothing illegal has transpired.
