Use Boric acid powder. We had problem with fleas 7 years ago. Researched on the internet about how to deal with fleas. We found out that boric acid powder is the best flea treatment. I believe you can use this powder in your yard as well (you'd better check on this one). Just pour powder in the infected area(we let it sit on the carpet at least 2 to 3 days to make sure) and then vacuum. It works great! I haven't had any flea problems since then even I have 2 dogs in the house. Because this boric acid powder is so fine, even after you vacume, it will stay long time on your carpet(It is not harmful to human or pets.) Therefore, even fleas get in the house somehow, they will die after they contact with carpet. If you have a cat or a dog, I suggest that use Advantage on them. That will help eliminate fleas. You can purchase Boric Acid powder at the pet store such as Petco.

Thanks, I want to try this one. Is it harmful to plants, such as tree, flower, or lawn?

What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? CA

I recently bought a house, two weeks after moving in the house, I found the house has fleas, and later I found the yard (both back and front) is infested with fleas too. In a word, both inside and outside of the house is infested with fleas. The seller didn't disclose such a fact in the seller's disclosure list. In this situation, can I sue the seller? If it were disclosed, I would definitely not buy this house.

I did a little treatment by myself, but not successful. I still see fleas everyday, which is a nightmare for me and my family.

So far it's been a little over one month since I purchased the house. If I do decide to sue the seller, do I have to do that within a specific time frame?

Hope you can give me some advices.

Thanks very much,
jayjay

Didn't you have a pest inspection before purchasing the house?

Buyer beware.

Bugs

Reminds me of a renter we once had, she complained of bugs so we sent out the exterminator. She complained again, again we sent out the exterminator. The third time she complained my wife asked how big these bugs were. The renter replied that they were invisible, too small to be seen.

No solution here, just reminds me of our renter, did you move to Cal from Florida?
