Ok, if you use the sticky traps put a little peanut butter in the middle of the trap. Just a half teaspoon. Those traps do not work on rats, only small mice. If you use the original wooden traps, use a small piece of a dog biscuit. I have caught numerous rodents iusing these methods. For rats the size of cats, use a shotgun.
Note: the above constitutes official legal advice.

Well then, if this constitutes legal advice, can you tell me why the box says for rats and mice? Isn't that false and misleading advertising? Can I sue?...lol

I told my husband last night if we didn't catch that cat sized rat that I was going to shoot it. However, I hate cleaning up messes like that so I'm going to stick with the traps. I have had success using peanut butter but not dog food or biscuits.

**A: no, you cannot sue because the trap can catch a small rat.
The big ones are too smart. My methods are only for a few of the critters. The writer has a heavy infestation problem that requires professional methods like hiring an exterminator not some homemade "over the counter do it yourself method".

RatZapper 2000, you can buy it on the internet.
Really gets mice with a clean jolt of electricity.
Runs on batteries.
Good luck!

LOL! Well, I printed all the replies and sent to her. I also asked why she waited 15 months if this has been a problem all along.

She said "I didn't think it would be a problem at first. I saw a mouse here and there and it just recently got real bad."

Not really a good answer I don't think.

I tell ya, I'm real scaredy car (not pun) about those things. If I had seen ONE mouse I woulf sleep in motel or car or someone's sofa or whatever that night and call exterminator next day, and that is no lie.

A RAT? Hey, he could HAVE the house and I would put his name on the deed and wave byebye. I'm outta there.

I think our cats have befriended him. I tried putting dog food in the middle of the sticky trap last night and when I came out this morning the traps had been moved but the dog food was still there and no rat was caught....

The rat zapper only eletrocutes mice? Out come the rate traps tonight. Thank you for the advice

"While you are investigating who to call, call the exterminator first."

Wouldn't that be tampering with evidence?

Seriously, Spraying for pests is only half the job. She needs someone to find the mice's entry point. A full grown mouse can crawl thru a hole about the size of a nickel and they'll eat thru that spray in foam.

These so called inspectors really should be called. Photo document everything!

Pay for the Exterminator!!

My goodness, if the mice are that bad....pay the extermination fee and worry about who is liable for it later!!!!!!!!!!! Why quivle over your own safety and health because you think someone else is responsible. This is a NO BRAINER....then go see a lawyer after the mice are dead.

Congrats on the big one but that was not the mother of all rats. Use a Big Mac and try for the real Big One.
