What is the name of your state? Washington
The wife and I purchased a vacation lot in 1999.
The seller owned and lived on the east side of the property.
He wanted a boundary line adjustment at his cost, giving him a portion of our lot, and his lawyer said go ahead with the sale and do the adjustment later but to have us agree in writing to have this adjustment done.
Not having any problem with that we agreed. Hindsight says we shouldn't have agreed.
About two years ago I found out from the neighbor that the adjustment never was completed, nobody knows why, but he was going to get it done again although it now cost $5000 not $1000.
Every time I ask him about it he tells me that it is being done. I haven't received any papers.
I am thinking of selling but have been advised by the real estate people that it would be hard to sell with that hanging over our heads.
Anyone have any idea on how long he has to get this adjustment completed?
Will the agreement ever be null and void if it isn't completed?
Thanks
