What is the name of your state? NH
I hired a builder who showed me many pix of the work he has done in the area and excellent references. I called a few of them and everybody gave him high marks.
I hired him in December for an addition which he said would be 6-8 weeks from start to finish. It is now 5 months and counting. The town inspector came 3 weeks ago and failed almost all work that had been done. The builder had to re-do the whole roof. The inspector came over today and again failed the roofing. The roof in my master bedroom (original house) now leaks. It has rained all day here and my wife just went to bed to find out our 2 month old king size bed is completely soaked.
This is a nightmare !
What are my options, Is this a law suit ?

Thanks for your help,

The contractor gets to correct the defects and then re-inspect. You could fire him, but then it will get ugly. Are you or them up on the money? i.e who stands to lose? Always best to work it out.
