What is the name of your state?
In NYC can a subchapter S corp file for chapter 7 after the 2005 law changes ?? I'm a sole proprietor and have used some of my personal credit for the business but would like to bankrupt the business since all the debt was incurred through the corp. I was forced to close up my store but am now left with the business debt . I've borrowed and juggled but can no longer keep up with the payments since I'm not bringing in enough income. What course of action would be best in my situation. Before things got so out of hand ( around 4 month ago) I had a fico score of 720. I cannot afford an attorney so I'm
will have to file and represent myself . Will I be able to keep a bank account etc... I have no assets just a 20year old car and a 7 year old motorcycle, no savings. Any suggestions....and advice.
