lovemycon...

Has your boyfriend had any sort of hearing yet?? Have you heard back from any of the agencies you have contacted?

No, Unfortunately he has not seen the parole board or has even been to screening. I contacted the supervisor of his parole officer and he told me that he should have been released and that he would look into why the Chino Facility still has him in custody.
I have left several messages for him, asking what he was able to find out. Same result, no call back.
CDC just doesn't concern themselves with going one step beyond their job description. There are just way too many inmates doing time and parole violaters waiting to be sentenced or in Gabe's case released.

Did you ever consider that you may not be getting anywhere because Gabe doesn't want anything more to do with you since you are the reason he got violated? Maybe he even got violated to get away from you? Gabe violated parole, there are consequeces for that, usually finishing out the remainder of the sentence. The problem isn't with the Gov. or the CDC, it's with criminals and the people like you who condone, encourage and coddel them instead of having expectations that they become useful members of society. You complain about his rights yet you deny your children the right to have a relationship with their biodad in favor of a criminal on the lam. You don't deserve your children, if you think they should be exposed to such risks.

he had a screening hearing and was offered flat 12 months but was appointed an attorney who got him credit time served which turned out to be 71 days!
supposedly they are to get sa hearing within 35 or 60 days. either way, 71 is more than that. i read that all the new laws don't have to be in effect until july 2005.
the california parole system is really screwed up. thank goodness theres only 2 more years of this garbage and then we're free!!!
Good Luck and remember there's usually a nice rainbow at the end of a storm! :)

Cal. system is messed up alright

They seem to take their time at everything. My boyfriend has been in California custody for 60 days without a screening or a hearing but was just given time served. Now he has to wait until his parole officer is good and ready, to fax the info to the Chino Facility before his release. Does anyone know the time allowed before he must be released? I was told with in 2-3 days. The whole process is a waiting game and everything is done in slow motion!
