So, I cannot seem to be able to google the exact answer to this. For CA new birth cert for lgbt couples....my partner is carrying twins and they are due any day. NOT bio related to me. We are not yet legally married. Does CA require us to be legally married for me to go onto the birth cert as parent or mother? (new check boxes
I understand that it's prudent to do a second parent adoption to protect my parental rights outside of the state, but for now, must we be legally married for me to have parental rights in CA and to go on the birth cert?
