How can Arnold Schwarzenegger change the worker's compensation laws to effect awards issued over 30 years ago. I was awarded by a California court lifetime medical on my back, hips and legs to take a reduced settlement over 30 years ago, now according to the insurance companies and workers comp this no longer has to be honored because the governer changed the law. "ipso facto" He can't even be covered under his own reform as a known steroid popper, has the entire state of California gone brain dead?. Does this not violate my Civil rights.

Work comp

After chewing over your reply and seeing what State you are from, kind of makes me wonder. Workers Comp was designed to protect the employee and his rights if he or she were hurt on the Job. When the law itself, as amended states that it will not have an effect on existing awards after five years. The Governer, should not allow the the insurance companies to twist its intent and to change the law to meet their special interest needs. An insurance board was set up to regulate the activities of the insurance companies and worker's comp. Why is it comprised of solely insurance company representatives, and no one else, lawyers, employers and private citizens. (Nothing crooked about that) Why are injured workers losing their homes, lives, families and all that they have worked for over the years. Why is the injured worker not represented, but subject to political practices, backed by big money special interest groups, and what certainly borders on crooked politicians. The Governer in this case has taken contributions from the Insurance companies, as well as other special interest groups. It is obvious to those of us who have alway's worked for a living which way the tree is leaning. Arnold Schwarznegger said he would not need contributions, from these groups because it would make him obligated to them. (Hmm) He is supposed to represent the people who entrusted him to the office in which he sits. Instead he is virtually raping the citizens of California, this is happening in other States, as well. It was once said by the Comminusts, that they would take this country over without firing a shot. If citizens keep electing officials such as this and don't hold them accountable., this has already happened. You say this doesn't violate my civil rights, unfortunately an illegal alien has more rights than the average citizen. A lot of the injustices of this world were blamed on lawyers, many turned politician. A lot of them are no longer handling worke's comp cases. Poly or Poli means many - tics are bloodsuckers - Could this not be more appropriate. Your answer has been written and now graded by me, a simple working man who was taught right from wrong. BS
