What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Pennsylvania

I showed up to work today and my boss pulled me in the room and told me he didnt think it was going to work out for various reasons. After I pleaded with him he said to go home think about it and he will let me know tomorrow when I come in. So as I was leaving one of my co-workers ran out and told me that another employee told him that it's not legal to discuss an employee being fired before they actually fire them and that its grounds for a law suit if I get fired. Can anyone tell me if this is true?

It is not true and it doesn't matter what details he was talking to him about. As long as he keeps to himself any medical information he has about you, he can take out a billboard on the Pennsylvania Turnpike spelling out in detail exactly why he has fired you, all before he says a single word to you about it, and he will not have violated a single law.

Your co-worker is wrong. Period.
