Can cops lie on paper work?

"Florida" Alright my questions is I have a citation for walking on the wrong side of the road which was written at 4:11a.m which according to the arrest report I refused to sign the citation. But according to my property in jail I was at jail at 4:07am. Could I win in court?

Dont listen to this Tyris guy. Combat it all you can. Besides, it sounds like a bogus charge to me. The police there sound like they have nothing better to do than to harass innocent pedestrians.

So, fess up. Were you guilty of the cited infraction and is the time the only mistake on the citation?

Well, if he's gonna fight it, fighting the times ain't gonna win it. Unless he can show that he was having supper at the time of the arrest so it couldn't have been him, the time issue will be virtually irrelevant since it is only a matter of minutes. And different clocks ARE often off.

For instance, my watch says 1:40 PM, my PC says it's 1:36 PM, my cable box says it's 1:37 PM, and my Dispatcher's console will say it's 1:33 PM (they are 7 minutes slower than my watch).

The time issue will not win the day. Only beating the charge on the elements of the alleged offense will. And if all he's got is the time issue, he should save the cost of the lawyer.

I was walking on the side walk which in the statues you can walk in either direction. So hopefully I got that going for me.

So ... what was the exact section you were cited for? If you were walking in the roadway, I can understand the cite for walking the wrong way ... but the sidewalk? What are we missing here?
