What is the name of your state?

I received a speeding ticket in Virginia 11/30/03. Driving 82 in a 65. I couldn't get off work to go to court, so I paid the ticket. My DMV report says my offense is driving in excess of 80 mph. My insurance company is dropping me because they say it's reckless driving and no other company wants to cover me for a reasonable premium. It's my only offense in 3 years. Can I ask the court to reconsider my case? Is there anything else I can do to clean this up?

Of course you can ask, but your post provides NOTHING to indicate that the court would.

Not after the fact. At this point, only time will 'clean' the record.

Now you are a CRIMINAL!

You need to appeal this ASAP. If you were convicted of RECKLESS DRIVING, that means you were convicted of a CRIMINAL Charge (class 1 misdemeanor in Virginia). You'll have a CRIMINAL record too.

This is SERIOUS business. See a lawyer NOW.
