What is the name of your state? Calif

What exactly is reaffirming. I have no secured debt just a piece of property which is paid off. Can I file chap 7 and reaffirm my property and keep it? Or do I need to file 13 in order to not run any risk of lossing my property? How will my credit report read after I file any bankruptcy? Does it list all of the things which were in there before and just say chap 13 or 7 filed or does it read blank and bk?

**A: if you have no secured debt such as a home mortgage or auto loan, then there is nothing to reaffirm.

How will my credit report read differently if I file 13 instead of 7? Is there the same 7 years before chap 13 comes off?

Everything on your credit report should be reported as 'included in bankruptcy'.

CH 13 stays on your CR for 7 years from filing date, CH 7 stays for 10.
