Can I sue my cousin?

I am from out of the U.S. My cousin , an immigrant, a bad one, has been in the U.S. for almost 10 years now. She left with us her child. He's around 12 y.o. now. (She actually got one more child which is with someone else...which she does not mind too)

For all these years, we've been shoudlering the child's education cost plsu everything. The child is lucky enough if he gets a $100 from her mom in a year or two or a phone call. In other words, my cousin has left us to take care of her child on our own.

Can I sue her for this? I am not looking into getting any money from her though it will surely help for the child. I just want to bug her and teach her a lesson. And tell her 'HEY YOU GOT A CHILD HERE'. She's not taking my words seriously but maybe if I sue her she will.

Can I sue her even if we're from another country? I have relatives in the U.S. who are willing to help me out on this. How about her status as an immigrant? Will it threaten her status?

since the child lives in your unnamed country, you would have to file for support in your country. The U.S. does not have jurisdiction over the child.

consult with a local attorney. Are you willing to adopt the child? If yes, is your cousin willing to give up her rights as a parent?

Seems like I can't sue her since the juidicial process here in our country is so slow. It might take another 10 years before she gets a subpoena. LOL.

Hmmm, maybe I'll just hope on karma. Hehe...What goes out, comes back in.
