Im in the state of texas.

A family member helped me get a loan for a car and ive never missed a payment. A while back there was a lapse in the insurance coverage so the bank added insurance coverage and raised my monthly note as a result, now they want to reposess the car because they say im back 3 months on the payment, its not that its just the fact that I didnt pay theyre insurance that they added, ive been paying for the car itself, also when I found this out I called and made sure the car was insured again and this was back in febuary, but the bank is still charging me insurace and is now looking for the car. I have proof that the insurance company informed the bank of the coverage also. On top of that ive been nussy every since ive gotten the car and havent had a chance to even take it out of the garage, let alone register the car in my name yet, so that means I still have the original title in my hand, and its still in the name of the previous owner, so that means if they came and got the car that it wouldnt be theirs to come and get.
Thanks for all your advice and help.

What on earth does nussy mean??

Anyway, if you didn't pay the entire payment they wanted, then yes, they can. You should have made the payment regardless and then straightened out the insurance thing. As far as they are concerned, you are behind.

As to the title thing, I am not familiar with those laws in your state so maybe someone else can help with that part.

How did you manage to register & insure the vehicle in the first place if you haven’t put the vehicle in your name?

You stated in your original post that the:

A while back there was a lapse in the insurance coverage so the bank added insurance coverage and raised my monthly note as a result...

Now you state they are not a leinholder???
And you state that you haven't even used the car, it has been sitting in your garage, so why do you care if you have it at all?
Rewrite your post and clarify. This makes no sense whatsoever...

There was a lapse in the coverage for about 3 months, that im willing to pay, but they want me to pay for the coverage for 4 aditional months. I sent them a fax a while back proving that the car was covered, and then the insurance company sent them the same stuff I did, but the bank is saying that they were never informed of it, but yet I have it on paper that they were. Now theyre all mad because I owe them 1100 dollars in insurance, but I had my own insurance on the car so it was basicly 2 insurance policies on the car. Im willing to pay for the insurance for the lapse in coverage I had, but not for the 4 months that they kept adding onto it. When I register the car I did plan on listing them as a leinholder. The car is a collectors car, thats why it sits in the garage so much. Most the time when it comes out its on a car trailer going to a car show. Im sorry for not clarifying the situation in the first post.

Not only why haven't you changed the title to your name, but how can the bank have any say-so on a car that they do not have a lein on?????

I reiterate: your post makes NO sense...!
