What is the name of your state? Arizona

Hello, I have a friend who lost her kids over a year ago. It was a child neglect case I believe, and the kids where taken by CPS. The two children now live with a family member in Oklahoma, who has signed paperwork to be their foster care provider.

I know that she was on drugs at the time, and sense cleaned up her life. I don't know if the drug situation was part of her case though. She said that the people that went into her house, saw that the childrens teeth were not healthy and immediately took them.

She says that she might have lost her parental rights, but she can't seem to get a copy of her case.

I also read on a couple of sites that the fact that she has Bipolar Disorder, that in itself will reject her chances of getting her kids. I also read that judges don't like to move the kids around after they have a stable environment.

Is there anyway she can get her kids back at all?

If TPR, chances are slim/none.

How do the OK relatives feel about the whole situation?

Otherwise, if she is cleaned-up...and stable emotionally...there's a chance. Would the kids be better off with mom? Can she handle the responsibility?

What county in AZ?

"How do the OK relatives feel about the whole situation?"

Well as I understand it, the relative wants nothing to do with her. The relative demands things from her and holds talking to the kids over her head. At this point she is the marionette and the relative is the puppeteer, and if she wants to talk to the kids, she has to dance to the relatives tune.

"Would the kids be better off with mom?"

Thats a definite. I am a single dad of two wonderful children and in my opinion is a better mom to them then their own. The mother of my two won't visit but maybe twice a month. So I will have to say that truly from what I have seen, she would take great care of her kids.

"Can she handle the responsibility?"

For sure. She is holding down a great job, she is on the Information Committee in her town and she does an astounding job at helping me take care of my two when I see her.

I hope these factors are enough, however we are very low in income and are unable to find a reasonably priced attorney. We are still trying to figure out a way to get a copy of her case. Is there anyone out there who might direct us in finding a way to get a copy of her case?
