meant to be??
Meant by whom to be????? If you don't qualify legally, then you are not meant to have a life in the US?? It seems there is a confusion between what is legal and what is right. Because some piece of paper says one person has no right to something, does not mean it is the will of God, or Fate, or Providence, or whatever else. It just means it's against the law. Now most of us break some law or another from time to time. I confess, I've exceeded the speed limit trying to get to work on time. I put other folks' life at risk just for a paycheck. That's way worse than crossing an imaginary line in the sand to get a job to feed a family. (oh wait a criminal is a criminal... period... that's why they have people in prison for parking tickets) What are you afraid of???? That people who actually care enough to risk something in order to get what they need will work harder or better than you and take your job??? I'm not worried. I'm a citizen of the United State of Texas, born and raised, and if anybody can do my job better than me, or is willing to do it for less money than he deserves to have it. I don't care where he comes from. That's what this country was built on: Having the stones to go out there and put yourself on the line and compete for what you need and want.
Just in case you were wondering, I have indeed worked right alongside undocumented immigrant workers doing the same job and at the same (or even less wage) getting to where I am today. I've done it more than once, and if that's what it comes to, I'll do it again. Note to any of you whining about illegal immigration: If you're not willing to do the same then I don't need YOU in MY counrty.
