Regardless of race, color, sex, nationality, religion, beliefs, background, familystatus, money etc etc (same for all), if you don't qualify to immigrate to the US legally then you are not meant to have a life in the US. Why is that so hard for some to comprehend!!!????Immigration fraud is just as much a crime as committing murder, and they should all pay for breaking the law. A criminal is a criminal.....PERIOD. If you can't move to the US legally, MOVE SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!!!!!!!

meant to be??

Meant by whom to be????? If you don't qualify legally, then you are not meant to have a life in the US?? It seems there is a confusion between what is legal and what is right. Because some piece of paper says one person has no right to something, does not mean it is the will of God, or Fate, or Providence, or whatever else. It just means it's against the law. Now most of us break some law or another from time to time. I confess, I've exceeded the speed limit trying to get to work on time. I put other folks' life at risk just for a paycheck. That's way worse than crossing an imaginary line in the sand to get a job to feed a family. (oh wait a criminal is a criminal... period... that's why they have people in prison for parking tickets) What are you afraid of???? That people who actually care enough to risk something in order to get what they need will work harder or better than you and take your job??? I'm not worried. I'm a citizen of the United State of Texas, born and raised, and if anybody can do my job better than me, or is willing to do it for less money than he deserves to have it. I don't care where he comes from. That's what this country was built on: Having the stones to go out there and put yourself on the line and compete for what you need and want.
Just in case you were wondering, I have indeed worked right alongside undocumented immigrant workers doing the same job and at the same (or even less wage) getting to where I am today. I've done it more than once, and if that's what it comes to, I'll do it again. Note to any of you whining about illegal immigration: If you're not willing to do the same then I don't need YOU in MY counrty.

I was just stating what the law says, it doesn't care about your good intentions or your beliefs in God or whatever. The law is the law, so if you don't qualify to live in a certain country, then you can't live there. Believe me, a piece of paper saying that you are legal is exactly what's necessary for any foreigner to live in the US. You can hate the system all you want(you're not alone), but don't hate the players that follow the gameplan. I stand up for not agreeing with illegal immigration, I have a right to feel how I feel about that issue, just like you, so we're not going to agree on that, but don't think that my statements come from my dislike for illegals, I know plenty about US immigration laws and that's where I get my info.

"It seems there is a confusion between what is legal and what is right"

Wow, what world have you been living in? If you expect US immigration to start basing their decisions solely on what's right and not what's legally required, you have a along wait ahead of you. USCIS is not a heart on legs. Good luck to you.

i don't hate the system

i don't hate the system or any players... i hate the spineless, lazy attitude of many of my countrymen who want to lie around and take advantage of the labors of our forefathers instead of getting out of there and busting a hump or getting an education so they can provide for themselves. they will be the downfall of this great nation. This nation that is being carried by the engineering expertise of asians and the labor of latin americans will crumble and fall because too many people are sitting in thier armchairs watching TV, and complaining about the foreigners.

The Congress enacts the laws that determine who is meant to live in the US and who is not.
Who called "visa overstay" the same as "murder"? Both are illegal, but hardly equal. As to which idiots can't tell the difference, we'll have to rely on your depth of idiot-experience, as I clearly don't have the same knowledge of idiots as you must.

jamesgray, I think you fell onto the wrong website. You must've been trying to get to www.inappropriate_rant.org

And with your VERY poor grammar and punctuation, showing that you have little or no education.... you must have one hell of a hump!! :D
