Hello - I have a huge problem. I am here on a F1 visa and my last date of attendance was Jan 23,04. I was of the belief that I could stay in the US if I am transferring schools if the classes will begin in 5 month or less. So I am here up to this date.
However, I did do the tranfer process, so I am officially out of status, well according to the new school I am trying to get into. This new school told me the SEVIS system says I am illegal and that my visa is cancelled. There are reasons that lead me to not believe this school, so where can I find out the current status of my visa - if its still valid or if it has been revoked/cancelled?
My five month time limit for reinstatement I am taking it is Jun23, as Jan 23rd was my last attendance in school. I am due to leave the country, but I am scared of problems when I am trying to reenter in July.
