What is the name of your state? Pennsylvania

Hello, my little sister was pulled over for speeding last night, and she got a ticket. She told me that she handed the police officer all the information he asked for, however, her insurance policy was canceled last Thursday for non-payment. She said she plans to pay her insurance this coming Friday, and she seems to think that she has gotten away with driving without insurance because the cop didn't say anything, and she had the insurance card. I didn't say anything to her, but I have a sinking feeling that she isn't going to get away with it. Don't the policy verify that a policy is good? If we pay the policy up to date now, will it make any difference? Thanks.

Your sister can still be cited for failure to be insured, but since it didn't happen at the time of stop, I doubt it will happen at all. If it does end up happening, just have her bring proof that her insurance is now ok to court with her and she will likely see leniency, from reduction in fines to possible an outright dismissal.
