Hello,
I am in the state of kentucky
The other day I had a accident with no car insurance, and I am wondering what I am looking at.
I know her car was totaled, I am on ssi not ssdi, so making me pay restitution is out. Am I looking at jail time, If so how much.
I was only charge with diving with no insurance.

I doubt jail is in your future although it is actually a possibility (apparently up to 90 days). Not that it isn’t warranted (morally) since you knowingly broke a law and the resulting action injured another party even if only financially.

There is also a possibility of a fine of up to $1000. Your registration can be revoked. Given there was a fairly recent change in these laws I would expect a court to be a bit more on the aggressive side with penalties.

Plan on walking or taking other transportation. It sounds like given not being able to afford the penalties and cover the damages you have caused, i wouldn’t expect you to be able to drive legally again.
