The last time I got a speeding ticket, I paid it and took my lumps. I was speeding, the nice young state trooper caught me speeding. No excuses.

The last time I got pulled over, I was driving an out of state car in Texas. I was NOT speeding, cruise control was fully engaged at speed limit. Though that was his excuse, I know it was because my car was an anomaly in that area of Texas. I sure as heck do not fault that young gung-ho sheriff doing his job (as I received a verbal warning).

You blatantly broke the law. Own it. Pay the piper, go forth and sin no more.

Thank you, that's solid advice and all I was looking for. I know what I did was wrong, I've never denied it. I've read a lot online that many people plead down their tickets and since I have a CDL things are different than a regular driver. I wondered if it was worth the effort. Before contacting an attorney, I wanted to see if I was completely wasting my time. Since everything you read on the internet is true and all, I thought this forum would be a good place to look into the matter a bit further, though I am regretting that decision as I've gotten flamed more than any advice. Thanks for the legit answer, though. It really is appreciated.

I find it offensive that a driver entrusted with children seems to think that his/her time is so valuable that s/he can simply roll through a stop-sign in order to avoid waiting 17 seconds for traffic to pass.

Sorry I offended you, officer.

You didn't offend ME. I deal with people like you all the time - blaming me for their bad driving. It gets tiring listening.

I love catching as many of you as I can - I guess my discretion sucks.
