Been in Ch 13 3.5 years of 5, divorced 6 years, Ex wife was notified when Ch 13 filed 3.5 years ago no claim was filed, now she files claim alimony which I started paying 02/2018 after CS ended. Now I have been layed off from work twice for 2 months first time and so far 2 1/2 months this time, during this time I accrued arrears for the alimony, ( I know I owe the amount).

Bankruptcy attorney is filing an objection, I understand Alimony and CS are not dischargeable but why would a divorce lawyer file a claim 3.5 years after the Ch 13 has started what would be the gain for them?

Thanks
