What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Michigan.
I am a salaried supervisor at an at-will employer. People who work for me often work Saturdays (OT). Since I took over this job 3 years ago I have never been required to be there on Saturday when they're working. Previously, I worked in another department at this same company. The president of the company says that it is now a requirement for the job that I be present (at least 1 out of 4 Saturdays) when my people are working them. There was no written job description when I took the post. They have told me that it is a "deal breaker" or "show stopper" if I don't agree, meaning they will find someone else to manage the department. My question is: If I refuse and am terminated, does this "refusal" to agree to a new job requirement disqualify me from unemployment benefits?

The crystal ball is out for calibration.

You should apply regardless.

It is really going to come down to a judgment call. Is having you work one Saturday out of four an undue hardship. And, assuming you aren't given another day off each week you work Saturday, you will be working 13 more days a year at the same pay which might be considered a pay cut.

Either way it goes you are likely going to go through the entire appeal process.
