What is the name of your state? mississippi Sorry this is so long.
I have a 3 1/2 year old son. Before he was born my wife told me she wanted a divorce. We got a divorce when he was 7 months old (we had never even lived together). When he was 9 months old I moved out of barracks (we were both in the military) and into my own apartment and had my son about two days a week. Between 13 and 19 months I had him 5 days a week. My ex sent my son to live with her parents in GA because she said the military was moving her there. Two months later I went to the brig because I made an adult video a year earlier (which I will always regret). I had to stay there for 6 months during which time I filed for a change of custody because my child was still in Ga and my ex was clearly not moving. The judge said his stay in GA was acceptable and did not change custody. But my son had to come back and I was given visitation all weekend, every weekend. My son was now 27 months old, I have been remarried for almost a year and have another child. For the first month I have him every weekend after that she gets busier and busier and I have him more and more. In July she leaves for a voluntary deployment to Japan for 6 months (she actually fights to get to go). She has to say for an extra 6 months because of the war in Iraq even though she is not in a war zone (not even close). In the year she was gone she called him 2 times and sent no money, birthday, or christmas presents. The only thing she does is send about 5 emails a month. He has a language delay so he doesn't understand them. Since June 2001 to July 2003 she has had him a documented 40 days in two years. She now says she is coming to get him. I WANT TO KEEP MY SON! What can I do? Do I have a chance at another change of custody? Sorry so long.
