Change of DOB on Indian passport

My minor passport was issued on the basis of an erroneous birth certificate. When i turned adult, passport was reissued on the same date of birth.

What is the process to change the DOB, when i have the correct birth certificate?

I have read online that you need magistrate order to change the DOB on passport. Or will the correct birth certificate suffice?
Please help me ASAP.
