What is the name of your state?GA
My father recently passed away and my mother is deeply in debt. Not much in the way of assets but she does want to keep her house. Question: There is about $20K insurance monies due her. Will this used to pay debts in the event she files bankruptcy or is it protected ? thanks, bdil

Here are the Ga. exemptions and it looks like in some circumstances, life insurance may be exempt from creditor seizure.
