What is the name of your state? Arizona.

I understand that SSI & most pensions are exempt from garnishment. If that is the only money going into a checking acct.; can any creditor, (except my bank & IRS), garnish or attach that acct?

No. If the sole source of the money in the account is exempt, and you can prove it, they can't take that money.

Beware, once that money is in your account, it is no longer a protected income source, it is considered cash on hand and can be garnished. A LIR stated, you need to prove that all the money in your account is from a protected source, if not, they will take it all, if necessary.
