This could go with probably custody/visitation or child support, it kind of affects both issues.
Here's my problem. My ex got a deviation in child support in the amount of $45 per week because he was traveling for his visitation after moving away (I didn't think it was right, since he moved, but my lawyer didn't fight it at the time). This was established in our original divorce in '01. During the divorce, he moved about an hour away from me for a new job. He was fired from that job, and moved to NH (about 2 1/2 hours from me). Now he has moved further, to VT (a 5 hour drive now for our 2 sons
). My ex is now asking for either a higher deviation to offset his costs of traveling, or that I meet him half way.
I don't think I should be responsible for either because he was the one who decided to move away. On that note, also, the original CO said that he was going to move closer to me by the time our oldest started school, which he has not done.
Here's the question...could I be forced to meet him half way? Or could he get a larger deviation?
