per se? I'm sorry, I'm still learning the language.

I was so relieved to still have custody that I didn't think much of it until now when he needs a new wardrobe for summer and is playing summer sports.

'per se' .. meaning that CS wasn't addressed directly or set.

It makes sense tigger. It makes me feel greedy though, to have my son and get money. I would honestly be alright just to have him without any CS.

Believe me.. I know how you feel. I have a bio-father that is over $23,000 behind in support.. I don't need.. nor do I really want the money. Yet... there's a part of me that says... "what gives this man the right to have children and just walk away from them.. not only emotionally but financially?" Wether or not bio-mom pays her support or not... here's my advice. Once and order IS made have it done through the courts and through CSE... Now, CSE in my opinion is a joke.. they don't do their job.. but you have a trail. What you also should do is keep in contact with them every 3-4 months.. just updating them because something tells me even with an order this mom isnt' going to pay. Wether you get or need the money isn't important. What IS important is that she will ALWAYS owe this to you and in some sense it gives you leverage. YOu need to remember though that visitation and support are separate issues... however there are ways around that legally;)
