I'm just getting extremely aggrivated. Like I said, I've been using this site for quite a few weeks(possibly months in the will/trust part). And in MANY of the other posts, senior members say "look here..... (with a web address for a site that includes the info they are looking for). I've been asking and looking and asking and looking more!

So, I guess I'm just asking for someone to help me find a site with that info. And I'm not asking out of laziness...god forbid we want to add that to the stupididty and ignorance. I'm asking because I CAN'T FIND ANYTHING IN WRITING THAT SAYS IN THE [STATE OF NY], [CITY OF BUFFALO], or in the[COUNTY OF ERIE], THAT THE PETITIONER OF A FAMILY COURT CASE HAS TO SERVE THE RESPONDENT.

If you can find information that states otherwise, please tell me. I am not looking for rude comments. I'm looking for honest, HELPFUL information. Not a punch at my self esteem

I'm looking for something from a STATE/COUNTY/CITY WEBSITE (please remember that NYC has different rules/regulations). You can tell me over and over again. But as far as I'm concerned, you TELLING me is just hearsay. I'm looking for a site where I can READ it for myself. So please, tell me where to find the info on a STATE/COUNTY/CITY WEBSITE.

I have no idea who you people are, what kind of lawyers (or even if your are lawyers). That's why I'm looking for PUBLIC INFORMATION. Not just people telling me their OPINIONS!. And unless I can find some info on a STATE/COUNTY/CITY WEBSITE, I can only assume that your word is just that....an OPINION.

I'm not trying to be rude, so please don't take it the wrong way. But I've asked over and over again for that information, and all I've gotten was wise remarks, but nothing to BACK YOU UP! How many of you are actually from Buffalo NY, and actually KNOW the laws in this area? Those are the ones that I'd like to heaqr from (unless someone else can give me specific sites to look at for myself).

I'm sorry. I'm not trying to yell. But me "yelling" is just about as right as anyone else "calling names". I tried to say it simply...over and over again, that I wanted to 'see' what the rules were. All I got (until the past few posts) were *legal opinions*. That tells me just about as much legal information as me telling you all that my neighbor needs to go on a diet. Without and sort of black n white, you have no clue wether it's true or not.

Though I don't want to start an argument on this. NYC has different rules and regulations than NYS. Manhatten is part of NYC. Most of what was written in that site was in reference to NYC or Manhatten.

I'm just going to wait the 9 days and see what happens for myself.
I already have enough aggrivation with the whole situation. I don't need the added aggrivation just trying to get simple questions answered.
And before anyone comes out and says it, I know that if it's a simple question, I should have no problem finding the answers on my own. But I've searched and searched and SEARCHED.

YES service is necessary. The court WILL NOT provide legal advice. YOu either have to know the laws or hire someone. End of story. If you are ignorant or stupid that will not get you far. You are expected to operate as though you have an attorney. HENCE why people who know NOTHING about the law pay those who are educated regarding such MONEY.

No one even called you ignorant or stupid. You were told that you were obligated to know and follow the law. No one else decided if you were ignorant or stupid.

Incidentally, “ignorant” only means not knowing. I’m ignorant of a whole lot of things and can choose to learn. No shame in that.

Pay for a service. Being out of state is not that unusual. They have means of tracking him down.

OK then...so I guess I was ignorant on the meaning of ignorance. But for her to use the word "stupid" was uncalled for and not necessary, and I( believe it was used TOWARDS me. Using those kinds of words really makes someone that's already in a tough spot feel much worse. And it's completely unprofessional. As I said...I'm just going to wait it out, and see what happens. And I can not pay for a service. I am broke! The ECCSCU will find him**************eventually. Once he ever possibly finally gets a job. But bottom line is that I can not AFFORD to pay for these extra things. All my money goes towards my child and household expenses (And please don't tell me to get a second job, because right now I'm on DBL from a back surgery, and can NOT return to work yet)
