What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? my state is texas. I was arrested on a class b misdemeanor and have to go to court on monday. I was wondering If they could send me to jail for it. i was renting some furniture and could not afford it anymore and when i call the place to come and get it they said they did not want it they wanted the money. so a warrant was issued for me. i went to jail and was bonded out now i have to go to court on monday. What will probably happen. I have never been introuble before and dont know what to expect

is that rent to own? I have never heard of someone getting arrested for not paying a bill. We are well protected against creditors and there is no debtor's prison. I know when I couldn't pay they just come and get the stuff, but thats only for rent to own, I am not sure if you got finaced or rented, but a misdemeanor for what? not paying a bill? This seems like it would be civil if anything not criminal.

I am not a lawyer but this seems wierd to me. What are you charged with? I doubt they can put you in jail. I would assume the judge would tell you to give back the furniture. Honestly I never heard of being arrested for not paying a bill. Wierd wierd wierd.
