What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Tennessee
I have a judgement won by default against a person/business, guy lied about turning over property then closed the store and ran with anything of value. I have no money for a lawyer now, that was used on the last one. The guy doesn't care about following the law anyway, as long as law enforcement is not standing right next to him.

Is there a way I can represent myself in civil case to get a wit of execution to have law enforcement seize and sell all his personal property ?
There is a 99% chance it will be a default win again, he didn't show the last two times. Also the last wit was never filled out by my former lawyer before they quit.

Have him summoned to court to disclose under oath any property he might have hidden ?

Involuntary bankruptcy ?

wage garnishment ?

That's if they can find him, he doesn't lie again, hasn't already sold off everything or won't file bankruptcy. According to the judgement just the interest rate from just the past year would be $1200.

You should keep all the discussions in the same thread.

You're not forcing him into involuntary bankruptcy unless there are twelve or more creditors and at least two others want to join with you in the petition.
You can go to court to get a garnishment.

A lawyer would be a good idea if you are talking about a substantial amount of money.

Again LAW ENFORCEMENT is not going to bust in on this guy, throw him in jail, or hand over his property to you.

He told the landlord he was making $388 a week which his word isn't really worth anything. But If true, who would have to find out where the work is ?

If I understand correctly a wit of execution could have law enforcement seize his personal property with the exception of some items or amount and they sell the rest off through a auction. That was what was going to happen with the store before he ran away.
