What is the name of your state?Colorado

I have a brother in Colorado who has had 3 DUIs in 4 months (with a previous under 5 years)- he has lost license as a habitual offender and looks like may do jail time (up to 2 years he said??)-
I was wondering, despite the moral objections, is if he were to move out of state what the chances are that Colorado would extradite him from say Florida. As DUIs are not a felony offense in Colorado (1 of 2 states I think- even after so many)- would this still be very possible (and would another charge be leveled as well)-

Please let me know so I can give him some brotherly advice on all real options-

Thanks,

if he is out on bail they will still come and get him. if its a misdeamenor charge probably not, a felony charge will go into ncic and they could come for him. it depends on a few things.

First, his license suspension will follow him no matter what state he 'flees' to.
Second, his charges will remain for life.... and the minute he no-shows on the charge(s), a FTA (Failure to Appear) warrant will be issued for him. This will be entered into the NCIC (National Crime Information Center) system and anytime he is stopped or backgrounded (employment, etc.), the warrant will show. If he is stopped by police, they will detain him and contact the Colorado agency. If he is driving at the time, this will include towing his vehicle (costs). Also, they can hold him for a day or so... and likely lose his job in the process.
And guess what?? If Colorado says they won't extradite (depending on costs, etc., they probably won't), the arresting agency will release him..... and he will get to do it all over again when he is next 'popped'. This 'endless loop' will continue until he grows up and accepts the consequences of his own actions.
