I am starting a new business. I have taken pictures of jobs that I did while employed by some else. Am I or how am I able to use these photo's?

Since you didn't get a response on the first attempt; I'll take a crack at it!

First of all; I am not an attorney or business expert! Just years of observing life!

IF, you are in competition with the companies you are photgraphing; then yes, you will need their permission to use the pics. Especially, if they are inside the company building and might show a trade secret or advantage. The latter would be true even if you aren't in competition with them!

IF, you are not in competition; and your pics are not revealing any trade advantages for that company, then you are pretty much in the clear.

However, nothing in this world is guaranteed, but death and sometimes taxes! So, the most you would probably get from any of these companies is a Cease & Desist letter. Unless, you compromised their trade advantage!
