What is the name of your state? PA

Recently I have been offered a percentage of ownership in a budding entertainmet corporation; However it's only been alot of oral back and forth. So, my question is: What exactly in the way of documents should I be requesting to assure myself of the shares I've been promised? Please help!

If it is a corporation, you should get a stock certificate. Percentage of ownership is based upon percentage of issued shares. SO. . . you need to know how many shares are issued, how many are availiable and what your percentage of ownership will be, you'll also want to know if you have pre-emptive rights, and if the stock is accessable. If you own 50% or less of the stock, you will have no absolute right to a say in the way the business is run.
