What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California

backstory:I was laid off. I can currently file for unemployment. I
now have two job offers on the table one is for an independant
contractor position and the other is as an employee of a company. I
plan to take both jobs becuase they have very flexiable hours. I am
basically going to find out which one i like more and which job can
make more money from.
However I have a worry. If I quit the employee job to divert more
time and effort to the independant contractor job and then, for
whatever reason, the independant contractor job falls through will I
be able to file for unemployment on either the job I quit or the
job from which I was laid off?

**A: generally you will not be able to file for UE benefits under the IC job.
