What is the name of your state? Not from usa, but hopfully you's can give me advice

Went into a shop after college, Ask this guy i know for a lend of some money to get a drink, he was with another guy who had already givin him a counterfit note worth 20dollers, since both of them knew it was fake and were not willing to risk it at the counter and i was asking for a lend of money, they decided to give it to me, i got 2 drinks one for me and the other fella, i went to the counter, then handed over the note and seen it was fake, she said she could not accept it,

i took the drinks and just put the down on a stack of newspapers and walk very quickly outa the shop(i wanted to go out and hit them) but the were gone, I assume the shop show the video tape to the college and the college told them who i was,

I went into the shop the next day, and the manager approached me and told me i was barred because of the fake 20note, and the police had been informed, i went outa the shop and ran to the college to get the fella who set me up,

The shop have handed the tape over to the police, i seen the video and it's quite hard to see them giving me the fake 20note but you can see me on camera handing it over on the camera, so on video it looks like the done nothing worng, and i'm all to blame,

So i rang the fella who gave me the note and recorded the phone call, so that sorta puts me in the clear, but what would u suggest i do? and what do you think could happen to me i;m 19years old,

Please help
Thanks

Since you confessed to passing counterfeit money in this post, I'd suggest you get a lawyer and very soon.

i had no idea it was counterfit, but i do know who made it, and i have what happened vioce recorded on tape. I cannot be guilty if i did not know it was a fake,

The way i see it is i am a victim,

i only found out it was counterfit when the shopkeeper siad it

Time to do some snitching.

Hmmmm, probably going to be hard to convince the court of that one!! :D

but i do know who made it
Further evidence that you know more than you are telling.

and i have what happened vioce recorded on tape.
Even more!!

I cannot be guilty if i did not know it was a fake
Wanna bet??

The way i see it is i am a victim
Then why did you run away??

i only found out it was counterfit when the shopkeeper siad it
If that were the case, the 'proper' (innocent) response would have been... "No way man!! Call the police!! I was just set up". Not running away!! :D

About the spelling, I type too fast and don't read over it,
The only reason I ran (walked fast) out of the shop was to get the two boys who set me up.

I know i should have stayed and explained what happened, but that would have been the right thing to do and no one ever thinks of doing the right thing at the right time.

If i can get the person who gave it to me, to go in and tell the shop manager about what happened and that I was set up, That should put me in the clear right??

Also Is the recorded tape of my conversation with one of the guys involved any use? It explains the whole situation and how they set me up?

Why?? Your own post says you knew who they are!!!

I know i should have stayed and explained what happened, but that would have been the right thing to do and no one ever thinks of doing the right thing at the right time.
The truly innocent do!!

Nope. By 'passing' the counterfeit money, you committed a crime. However, if you can get the person to come forward (to the police) and confess to making the counterfeit money and that you had NO knowledge of it at the time you presented for payment, the prosecutor MAY reconsider the charges.

Also Is the recorded tape of my conversation with one of the guys involved any use? It explains the whole situation and how they set me up?
That depends ENTIRELY on the contents of the recording. Give it to your attorney and let him/her handle it.

i went outa the shop because, i was very angry, i knew the two boys who gave it to me, known them for a while and did not think they would do something like that. Honestly i was gona go out and punch his head in (luckly he ran off because i would have been in more trouble if i did that)

I'll be able to get the person who made the counterfit money and told the other guy he was with to give it to me. to confess,

I seen the video camera, and on camera it's very hard to see them giving me the money, and were talking for about 1min, it looks on camera like were conspiring,

I have no reason to lie to you guys on this forum, i did not know that money was counterfit, what do you suggest i tell the police when they contact me, I'll tell them the whole true story (i've no reason to lie)

So what else do you suggest i do, And if this happened in your state country, what sentence/fine would I be looking at?

My response:

It's a bit hard to believe you. This is especially so when your friend's picture was on the money!

What denomination of money were you passing; e.g., 10, 20, 50, 100, 3?

What was it about the money that tipped off the store owner?

CRAP!! Ignore all of our responses!! If I had caught that on your initial post, I would have (and should have) said:
Sorry, US law only!!

For all we care, you could have drawn a picture of Bugs Bunny in crayon on your country's 'funny money'!!

My response:

Oh, yeah. That made a lot of sense. When you learn to write English properly, and you're living in the United States, then come back.

Since we have already been hoaxed by this counterfeiter, let me offer this international advice: spill your guts to the cops...and don't write us back, okay?
